Over 3 days you'll move between keynotes, panels, workshops, one-on-one expert sessions and informal conversations over coffee. You'll hear from musicians who've played the biggest stages in the world and the business minds who helped build them. Not the boring theory, but the practical, honest, useful insights from industry veterans.

Hands-on Gear in the Exhibition Hall

The MIC Exhibition Hall (open daily until 17:00) is designed for interactive learning and practical knowledge sharing.
Visit the FACE booth to discover the latest release lineups and industry standards from across our FACE MI and FACE PRO portfolios:

Workshops hosted by FACE

This year, we’re excited to offer a range of workshops at MIC that truly showcase what we do at FACE. We'll be hosting the following sessions:

Ready to mix: FOH Channel Strip Setup on Thursday Sept 3

12:00 – 13:00: A great live mix starts long before the soundcheck. In this hands-on session, Jimmy Koninckx from FACE Academy takes you through the essential building blocks of a professional Front of House channel strip using Yamaha mixing consoles. Learn how to master your setup and create a workflow that delivers clean, consistent mixes every time. Whether you're taking your first steps in live sound or looking to sharpen your FOH skills, you'll leave with practical techniques you can apply at your very next show.

Pedal party on Friday Sept 4

14:30 – 15:30: One pedal can completely change the way you write, play and perform. Imagine turning a simple riff into a cinematic soundscape, a vocal into an ambient dream, or a synth into something no one has heard before. Effects aren't just for guitarists, they're creative tools for every musician. In this interactive session, Alain Smits from FACE Academy invites you to experiment with pedals, discover unexpected sounds and explore how effects can elevate your music, regardless of your instrument. From subtle textures to wild sonic landscapes, you'll experience how the right effect can spark new ideas, inspire fresh songs and redefine your live performance.Whether you're a guitarist, bassist, keyboard player, producer, vocalist or simply a curious creator, Pedal Party is your playground. Come ready to listen, experiment and leave with a head full of ideas and a whole new perspective on sound.

Mic placement for studio recording – capture the perfect sound on Saturday Sept 5

14:00 – 15:00: Great recordings don't start in the mix, they start at the microphone. In this hands-on workshop, Wim Gielis and Robin Roziers from FACE Academy demonstrate how the right microphone placement can completely transform the sound of a recording.Discover the techniques behind capturing vocals, drums, guitars and acoustic instruments with clarity, depth and character. Learn how small adjustments can make a dramatic difference, how to avoid common recording mistakes, and why microphone placement often matters more than expensive gear.Whether you're recording in a professional studio or your own home setup, this workshop will give you practical techniques you can apply immediately to achieve more polished, professional-sounding recordings.
