Tiny Box, Huge Impact: Meet the Walrus Audio Canvas Nano Line Isolator

The Canvas Nano Line Isolator from Walrus Audio is a compact Line Isolator (LI) designed to fit seamlessly on crowded pedalboards or fly rigs where space is at a premium. It removes any barriers between the artist and the audience by providing a clean, transparent sonic foundation on which to build a performance. Whether on stage at a house of worship or in a downtown dive bar, the Canvas Nano LI is built to be the reliable performance tool that travels wherever music is made.

The Canvas Nano Line Isolator is a passive device that converts unbalanced signals into balanced ones for proper interfacing with recording interfaces or front-of-house mixers. Ideal for use with amp-in-a-box solutions (like the Walrus Audio ACS1) or when running active acoustic and bass guitars directly, the Canvas LI becomes the bridge to front-of-house. It maintains full signal volume while converting to a balanced output via a transformer connected to the XLR output. In LI mode, less preamp gain is required. All the essential features of a high-quality line isolator are packed into a compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure with the signature Walrus Audio aesthetic.

Features:

  • Line Isolator to connect unbalanced, low impedance sources like DSP Amp modeling pedals.
  • Compact design perfect for tight pedal board layouts or small fly rigs.
  • Converts 1/4in unbalanced input to XLR balanced output.
  • Maintains the full signal level of a modeling pedal while converting to a balanced signal
  • For proper interfacing with recording interfaces or front-of-house mixers
  • GND Lift on XLR to help reduce hum.
  • Transformer isolated output.
  • Custom wound transformers for low THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) and full frequency response.
  • Optimized for use with amp modelers
  • Passive device, no power source required.
  • Flat frequency response from 20Hz-20kHz
