The technical production company The Show Company (ShowCo) purchased 430 Ayrton EagleStrike fixtures from Total Solution Marketing for lighting designer Michael Chan's rig. Ultimately, 424 units were rigged across the ceiling of the stadium, with throw distances ranging from 30 to 150 meters.
Performance and Scale
Chan required a bright and versatile light suitable for a large arena. "The light needed to have sharp shutter cuts, a zoom range that went quickly from very narrow to wide, and a good colour mix," he explains. For NDP 2026, the production scaled up to the largest lighting rig in parade history with over 1650 lights. The EagleStrike provided everything from a tight beam to a soft wide wash without needing a second fixture type.
For NDP 2026, we scaled up the production to become the largest lighting rig in NDPhistory : with over 1,650 lights, of which over 1300 are moving lights.
Chan was impressed by the raw output and control, noting that the zoom kept up with fast transitions and the color mixing remained consistent across various distances. The units proved robust, with only two fixtures experiencing issues during intensive programming of ten hours daily for three weeks.

Durability and Reliability
The units proved dependable through an intensive schedule of ten hours of daily programming for three weeks, with only two fixtures experiencing issues. Joseph Gan from ShowCo and Ayrton CEO Michael Althaus both highlighted the strong durability and successful deployment of the fixtures over the two-month operational run.
A lot of fixtures at this brightness sacrifice speedor precision... EagleStrike didn’t.
