PK Sound T8 makes its debut in the iconic Queen Elisabeth Concert Hall during Herman van Veen’s “TACHTIG“ tour.

The 1.850 seater venue is a design of SimpsonHaugh & partners, re-opend in 2016 and was originally build for the World Expo in 1958. Herman Van Veen was joined by his eight-piece, all-female band, delivering thrilling multi-vocal arrangements. The musical foundation was beautifully shaped by Edith Leerdekens sublime guitar work, seamlessly supporting the rich vocal harmonies.

Throughout the show, the musicians fluidly changed roles, adding elegant lines of bass, piano, and violins depending on each song. The soundscape was completed by multi-instrumental e-drums and keys, masterfully performed by Anne van Veen, Herman’s daughter.

The performance sparkled from start to finish, taking the sold-out audience on an emotional journey through Herman’s self-reflective and humorous storytelling. From chanson-inspired pieces and intimate ballads to rhythmic ‘chansons’ with striking lyrics, the evening delivered a truly stunning and memorable concert experience.
