Unlike many low-power valve amplifiers, the DA5 Ruby features a genuine push-pull power stage using a 12BH7 valve, providing the feel, dynamics and response of a much larger 100 Watt amplifier. Combined with the custom-designed Aldrich 50 loudspeaker, co-developed with Doug Aldrich, the amplifier delivers impressive headroom, projection and authority while maintaining authentic valve feel across its selectable 5 Watt and 0.5 Watt power modes.
