Portman Lights officially announced the release of FREAX™, an IP65-rated strobe-wash hybrid fixture engineered to disrupt traditional stage lighting standards. Breaking away from generic, flat rectangular strobe bars, FREAX™  introduces a trapezoidal chassis built specifically for lighting designers, touring directors, and visual artists demanding higher physical depth and dynamic kinetic control.

400 W RGBW WASH‍

The primary heart is the LIQUIDshine™ wash light unit with 11 sections coverd by honeycombs with true reflector path: a specular mirror chamber that multiplies 400W of RGBW color into a fluid, multi-dimensional reservoir of light.

• 400W Power
  High-output wash engine delivering up to 400W of raw power, with 150W dedicated to any single RGBW color.

• Real optical depth
  Unlike flat LED panels where raw diodes blind the camera and look cheap, FREAX^™ features a custom honeycomb grille with internal reflector geometry.

• 11 Pixel zones
  Smooth, powerful color washes with full individual zone control for dynamic chases.
  The continuous 11-zone honeycomb wash eliminates harsh, blinding LED dots for flawless broadcast contrast.

700 W CW TRI-X™ STROBE‍

Suspended over the mirror chamber are three X-shaped TRI-X™ white strobe units. Pushing over 23,000 lumens across 60 independently controllable pixel sections, FREAX™ bites through dense atmospheric haze with raw, predatory intensity.

  Above the primary wash, the strobe lines form three striking XXX shapes, breaking away from standard horizontal lines and cut straight through haze.

  60 independently controllable pixel-mappable strobe sections for intense razor-sharp chases, and blinding strobe strikes.
